Join us for a concert commemorating the 100th anniversary of Rhapsody in Blue's world premiere in 1924!
Pianist Renée Guerrero and mezzo-soprano Artemesia Lefay will perform a musical program in celebration of George Gershwin's iconic Rhapsody in Blue, plus other piano and vocal works by Gershwin & Kay Swift.
Swift was the first successful female composer on Broadway, and had a relationship with Gershwin that inspired both musicians. Guerrero has been entrusted with never-before-performed piano works by the Kay Swift Memorial Trust, and she is premiering and sharing her works with audiences who most likely aren't familiar with Kay Swift.
